And most of all, I like that these bottles are USA made by Nalgene - meaning they are BPA free and made to last. We have six of them in different sizes, and have enjoyed using all of them.

Ich nutze Nalgene Flaschen nun schon seit ca. 10 Jahren beim Wandern, Camping und anderen Outdoorunternehmungen - sie sind für mich zum absoluten Standard geworden, sei es in der 1 Liter Variante, der 1,5 Liter Variante, der nierenförmigen Feldflasche oder eben der Faltflaschen.
Ich kann mich der Behauptung die Faltflaschen wären nicht haltbar nicht anschließen. Meine hat nun ca. 6 Jahre gehalten und ist kaputt gegangen nachdem in einem vollem Rucksack die Spitze einer Axt auf einer Tour permanent in die Flasche gedrückt hat. Das ist ärgerlich, kann aber passieren.
Die Flasche wurde bei mir immer als "Zweit-Flasche" zu einer anderen Nalgene-Feldflasche genutzt. So konnte ich das Wasser aus der Faltflasche zu erst austrinken / nutzen, diese dann zusammen falten und hatte wieder etwas mehr Platz im Rucksack.
Bei mir kommt auf Touren nur Wasser in die Flaschen, daher reicht es auch die Flasche nach der Tour einfach mit lauwarmen Wasser gründlich durchzuspülen. Werden andere Getränke darin transportiert, empfiehlt es sich die Flaschen mit einem Tropfen Spülmittel und Wasser einfach ordentlich durchzuschütteln (Deckel zudrehen nicht vergessen....) und so etwas gründlicher zu reinigen.
Danach einfach ordentlich trockenen lassen und fertig.
Dieses Mal habe ich mich für die kleinere Variante der Faltflasche entschieden, da die Große mir einfach zu viel Platz im Rucksack wegnahm. Allerdings wird das nicht meine letzte der Faltflaschen sein und die Große kommt sicherlich auch wieder ins Haus....
